Filmmaker, screenwriter, Art director , Asifur Rahman Chowdhury (Screen Name: Asif Chowdhury), born and raised in Comilla, Bangladesh, October 08. Began his career in advertising as an assistant art director in 2010. Graduated to media studies & journalism from University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) in 2017. By 2018, started post-graduation in filmmaking & television studies from Pathshala – South Asian Media Institute, constitute of University of Dhaka. In 2014, received the Duke of Edinburgh International (Bronze) Award for an adventure trip in Nizhum Island in Hatia, Bangladesh. By 2015, achieved a film festival award certificate from Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET), on behalf of independent film “A Jacket”. In 2015, Asif started his career as an art director on television commercials. As an art director, Asif profiled big shot film Dhaka Attack in 2016. Asifur Rahman Chowdhury (Screen Name: Asif Chowdhury) founded Makerbox Films and started independent filmmaking in film and commercials in 2017. He is also CEO of Makerbox Films. Asif wrote and directed his first PSA film on anti-drug and rehabilitations, which was the most viewable PSA film for The Ministry of Home Affairs in 2019. He is fascinated by graphics, special effect, super impose shots and like to work in different areas of reality depicting artistic story and set design. His vision is to create something ordinary film, TV Commercial & TV production and also according to his thoughts, as nature portrays the feminine portion of itself by intricate details. He is also a video art artist of Bangladesh.
